The water leaves the guide vanes at α_{1} = 15° to the wheel tangent, the velocity of flow at inlet is 6 m/s and the discharge at outlet is radial. Neglecting the thickness of the vanes, determine (a) the runner vane angle at inlet θ_{1} (in degrees, measured from the direction of vane motion), (b) the power developed by the runner (in kW), and (c) the hydraulic efficiency (in %).
